Mixed Media Art

Artist statement

My art is a visual manifestation of internal cognitive processes. It is often a metaphor for memory: fragmented, at times incomplete or scrambled, evocative. It flows and fluctuates, like the sea, like my own thoughts. It deeply relates to color as I explore the excitement within, the raw expression of being.

Ingrid Masson is an artist and researcher currently based in Tübingen, Germany. She began experimenting with photography and design 15 years ago in college but it wasn’t until recently that Ingrid discovered the world of mixed media.

Ingrid loves working with recycled materials, mixing her own pigment concoctions and experimenting with texture. Her art practice is grounded in exploration and, as such, is in constant evolution. Although she’s kept her passions for photography and mixed media relatively parallel, Ingrid sees a future path where all the art forms that she loves, converge.
